ONE Tin Advertising Tea Strainer

One tin tea strainer from a choice of two.

Two lovely tin tea strainers. Make your choice of either strainer one or two from the drop down menu (see images).

Strainer one: A lovely strainer, stamped with a crown and bees (?) logo on the upper curve and "Made in England" on the handle. It is most likely an advertising strainer and came free with a quantity of tea coupons. It dates from the first half of the 20th century. There is some light surface rust and a couple of small dents in the sieve. The strainer measures 13.2cm long x 9cm wide x 2cm deep.

Strainer two: An advertising strainer for Robur Tea, made from pressed tin. It dates from the 1920s or 30s and most likely came free with a quantity of tea coupons. It features the words 'Robur Tea' on the handle. There is a rust spot inside the bowl of the strainer and speckles of surface rust elsewhere.
